Having French & Mexican blood as my cultural heritage, I'm a extremely proud to be the first generation of Americans in my family. My name is Carlos Burgoin Jr. I'm a twenty two year old college student at Texas State Technical College in Harlingen, Texas. I'm expected to graduate by the last of May of 1999 with a Associate of Applied Science of Digital Imaging Technology. Digital Imaging Program deals with graphics, 3D imges, sound, video, animation, website creation and multimedia development. My interest are many and varied everything dealing with latin culture such as art, music, dance, customs and culture itself. I was the vice-president of the "Folklorico TSTC Dancers" a group of students that dance to mariachi music to celebrate Mexican holidays and to promote the hispanic culture.

Through out my college years I volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House a non profit organization. The House offers a place to stay to families who have ill children in area hospitals. I design their first newsletter which 3000 copies were printed. I am currently desingnig in their first webpage which main goal is to raise awareness of the "The House That Love Built" and to bring donations. I was very involved with the Harlingen School District because i was a paraprofessional teacher substitute part time. I was mentor for the "New Directions" a program design to help high school students to finish high school and to promote higher eduation. I like to be challenge and constantly be working for a good cause. Some of my recent challenges is to redesign the Rio Grande Valley Museum webpage. I know that this challenges will prepare me be better for the real job !
